Nintendo has been criticized for the lack of serious or M-Rated games to come to Wii. Resident Evil and Mortal Kombat aside, most of the popular games are geared towards kids and “casual” gamers. Adults and serious gamers have taken up residence in front of an Xbox 360 or PS3.
SEGA and Platinum Games look to tap into the adult potential with MadWorld, an extremely gory and stylish hack-and-slash romp. The design is ripped right out of the comics with black and white line art on a white background. The only color is the red blood that splashes with every kill.
We’ve got a first-look at the final cover art for MadWorld that is sure to stick out on store shelves. A bloody chainsaw speaks volumes of the intent.
Look for MadWorld to slash into stores sometime in March or April of 2009.
