In the past EA Sports has looked towards individual performers to grace the cover of Madden videogame entries. This year the studio is taking a slightly different and more targeted approach.
Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals and Troy Polamalu of the Pittsburgh Steelers will share a Superbowl-themed cover for Madden NFL 10 on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PS2 and PSP. Their appearance marks the first time in Madden history where more than one athlete will appear.
For Larry this is his second shot on an EA Sports title cover. He also appeared on NCAA Football 2005 and becomes only the second player to show up on both college and professional EA Sports covers (Shaun Alexander being the first).
Madden NFL 10 will bring its “Fight For Every Yard” mantra to stores on August 14.
