Capcom has shipped the Playstation 3 version of Lost Planet to stores this week, over a year since the game made its debut on Xbox 360.
The PS3 version will include a slew of unlockable characters including Frank West from Dead Rising, Megaman, and others that did not appear on the Xbox 360 version.
Other notable features include up to 16-player online matches and all 16 multiplayer maps on the disc, many of which were previously offered as premium downloadable content via Xbox Live Marketplace.
Capcom describes Lost Planet as “…an epic gaming masterpiece combining a gripping single player campaign and intense multiplayer modes. Lost Planet contains sophisticated visuals, with an unmatched level of detail as advanced light sourcing is used to ensure a realistic presentation that enhances every explosion, smoke and particle effect. Enormous world maps unfold as players battle hostile creatures in blistering weather conditions across vast snowfields and blazing volcanic areas either on foot or in armed, robotic Vital Suits.”
Lost Planet on Playstation 3 will carry a reasonable SRP of $39.99.
