Lily Collins Joins Relativity’s Snow White

On Friday, Relativity confirmed that they’ve found their Snow White in the form of Phil Collins’ 22-year old daughter, Lily.

Relativity’s untitled 3D Snow White film is based on The Brothers Grimm tale and will be directed by Tarsem Singh. Already cast are Armie Hammer as the Prince and Julia Roberts as the evil Queen.

According to numerous reports, Collins wowed Relativity executives with her audition and won the role after a long search by the studio. Negotiations are underway and a finalized deal is imminent.

Collins previously appeared in The Blind Side playing Sandra Bullock’s character’s daughter and more recently co-starred in Priest. She will next be seen alongside Taylor Lautner in Abduction, her current boyfriend. Completing three degrees of Twilight is the coincidence of Kristen Stewart playing Snow White in Universal’s Snow White and the Huntsman, due in theaters in December, 2012.

Before Collins can shoot Snow White, she’ll play Clary Fray in Screen Gems’ highly anticipated young adult film The Mortal Instruments. Production on that film is expected to get underway in the coming months.

Tarsem Singh’s Snown White is due in theaters on June 29, 2012 as Relativity aims to be the first of three Snow White-themed films in development to market.
