After Leisure Suit Larry Magna Cum Laude was met with marginal reviews on the original Xbox, we were certain the franchise had see its first, and last, appearance on home consoles.
Yet today, Sierra Entertainment has unveiled Leisure Suit Larry Box Office Bust is currently in development at Team 17 for release on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, mobile phones, and the PC this fall.
In his sophmore effort, Larry’s nephew, also named Larry, takes his raging hormones and receding hairline to Tinseltown and the backlot of Laffer studios in order to work his way from towel boy to a starring role. Allen Covert of Happy Madison Productions will pen the script and one-liners Larry is known for, while Jay Mohr, Carmen Electra, Jeffery Tambor, Shannon Elizabeth, Dave Attell, and other celebrities offer up their voices.
True to past Leisure Suit Larry games, Box Office Bust wil feature exploration, platforming, racing and puzzle-solving, as well as an all-new Director’s Game, where the player becomes the director of their own “Larry Feature.” We can only imagine the props and sets Larry will favor.
