A rumor floating around the Internet the past few days has suggested Disney is strongly considering Keith Richards from Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides after the Rolling Stones guitarist talked openly about taking drugs in his new memoir.
As it turns out that rumor is completely false. A representative from Bruckheimer Films contacted Movieline today and called the report “complete and utter nonsense,” then went on to state that Richards is very much still in the film and will not be cut.
Pirates of the Caribbean fans can now rest easy and be assured that Richards and the man his persona inspired, Johnny Depp, will be reunited in Pirates garb once again.
