Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is tapping its catalog and pulling out a quartet of kid favorites to release on Blu-ray Disc for the first time.
On June 28, Sony will release the original Stuart Little and its sequel, Stuart Little 2, each starring Geena Davis, Hugh Laurie of ‘House’ and the voice of Michael J. Fox. Joining them will be Joe Johnston’s (Captain America: The First Avenger) Jumanji with Robin Williams, Kirsten Dunst and David Alan Grier, as well as Jon Favreau’s Zathura: A Space Adventure with Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games), Tim Robbins and Dax Shepard.
Each of these four films will be available in a Blu-ray and DVD combo pack and feature 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. Jumanji in particular should benefit from lossless audio as a zoo’s worth of animals plow their way through suburbia.
