Sucker Punch’s inFamous 2 made its debut at Sony’s E3 2010 press conference with a wide release window of sometime in 2011.
Cole MacGrath will leave the confines of Empire City in the sequel, which he’s blamed for destroying, and relocate to the historic Southern city of New Marais. Here Cole will discover his full potential as well as learn about ‘The Beast’ an evil entity that is makings its way south towards New Marais and leveling everything in its path.
inFamous 2 promises to improve upon all the core areas of the original game with more electrically charged superpowers, bigger and more destructible environments, and upwards of 100 characters on-screen simultaneously. A new mo-cap and animation system has been installed to smooth out Cole’s movements and take the inFamous visuals to the next level.
Sucker Punch and Sony are playing it safe with inFamous 2’s violence per the ‘teen’ rating it’s already been assigned. Be the judge yourself by checking out the E3 trailer below.
