The Hot Toys Tony Stark 1/6 scale figure based on the likeness of Robert Downey Jr. as seen in Marvel’s upcoming sequel Iron Man 3 is now available for pre-order at Sideshow Collectibles. It’s not cheap, but packs quite a bit of cool toy into its package.
In addition to including a 1:6 scale Tony Stark figure with LED arc reactor and a newly sculpted advanced body with over 30 points of articulation, you also get a portion of Stark’s workshop where he builds the Mark xlvii armor that attaches to Tony’s body by thought. Pieces of the Mark xlvii armor included with the set include a left forearm section, three left palms – two with articulated fingers, and one pair of leg armor.
Also included is a robotic arm that works with Tony; his work desk with wheels that includes armor sections (helmet, face mask, neck support, elbow, palm & leg armor), magazine, blueprints, electrical wires and tools (pincers & screw driver); and the central stage to Tony’s workshop that lights up via LEDs. This stage is designed to be surrounded by the Hot Toys Iron Man 3 Hall of Armor accessories.
The Hot Toys Tony Stark Iron Man 3 figure is slated to ship in August 2013 to coincide with the Iron Man 3 Blu-ray release date, or more likely sometime before the end of the year. It is priced at $279.99 with $14 in rewards points available for pre-ordering at Sideshow Collectibles.
