HBO has released a brief official synopsis for the season finale of Boardwalk Empire which, if you’re not afraid of some small spoilers, is included below in its entirety.
The season one finale aka episode 12 is called ‘A Return to Normalcy’ and is written by Terence Winter. Here’s the synopsis: “Nucky (Steve Buscemi) and Atlantic City brace for change on Election Day; Torrio (Greg Antonacci) brokers a deal between two nemeses, with far-reaching consequences; Jimmy (Michael Pitt) ponders his future, as do Margaret (Kelly Macdonald), Agent Van Alden (Michael Shannon) and Eli (Shea Whigham).”
Boardwalk Empire’s season finale will first air Sunday, December 5 at 9pm ET on HBO.
