Sony delaying God of War III into March 2010 was a blow to everyone looking forward to the game and Kratos’ next-gen debut this holiday season.
As it turns out Sony had more up their sleeve regarding this delay than additional time to work on God of War III. Coming this holiday season exclusively to Playstation 3 is the God of War Collection with God of War and God of War II packed onto a single Blu-ray Disc.
The return of these classic games on a new platform is excellent news for newcomers to the series who will be given approximately 3-4 months to catch up with the franchise’s storyline before God of War III hits. Even those whom have already beaten the previous games on PS2 will have the opportunity to replay them for the first time in 1280x720p HD featuring remastered graphics with anti-aliasing and all-new Trophy support via the Playstation Network.
The God of War Collection has been priced at $39.99 and should be available for pre-order with a hopeful firm release date in the weeks ahead.
