In anticipation of GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra being released this upcoming Friday, Paramount has let loose a bunch of new stills from the film which you can view in high resolution by clicking any of them below.
The bigger reveal today is an unveiling of the concept art for Destro’s mask as seen towards the end of Rise of Cobra. The image by illustrator Matt Codd was influenced by comic book, television and action figure incarnations of Destro. It first appeared exclusively on director Stephen Sommers’ official website and is probably nearly identical to what will be seen on screen in the live action film. I personally think it looks spot on; a nice blend of familiarity and real world feel.
GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra stars the ensemble cast of Channing Tatum, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Sienna Miller, Dennis Quaid, Rachel Nichols, Marlon Wayans, Ray Park and Christopher Eccleston. Director Stephen Sommers is pumped about it and is already thinking about a sequel.
