Microsoft has announced the Gears of War 3 public multiplayer beta will released in mid-April. An exact date will be issued closer to the launch.
The beta will include three new “versus” multiplayer modes playable across four new maps. Which maps appear will be determined by fan voting which is currently ongoing at the Gears of War 3 Facebook page. The voting period wraps up tomorrow, February 28, so be sure to stop by and get your vote in. As of right now the ‘Trenches’ map is in the lead.
Gears of War 3 will deploy on Xbox 360 on September 20 (or if you’re in Japan, September 22). Check out the newly revealed finalized cover art below.
