Paramount has released the first one-sheet movie poster for the remake of Footloose from director Craig Brewer via MTV’s tabloid-centric website, Hollywood Crush. MTV promises the first trailer will go online tonight at 8pm EST.
The Footloose poster is retro in design with star Kenny Wormald chilling out on the hood of an old school Volkswagon Beetle. Kevin Bacon dancing it is not, but even the logo has a retro feel to it as Paramount’s marketing strategy appears to be to play off the original as much as possible.
In addition to Wormald, Footloose stars Julianne Hough and Dennis Quaid. It opens in theaters everywhere on October 14.
