Electronic Arts has announced Brazilian International soccer star Ronaldinho will appear as a customized player exclusively in the Wii version of ‘FIFA 08.’
The Wii version of Ronaldinho will host a new game mode called Footii Party with Ronaldinho. In this mode, players will be able to compete in a number of mini-games – including Table Soccer and Shoot Off – as your Mii character. The ultimate goal in each game is to unlock Ronaldinho and eventually beat him.
EA has also revealed more information on how it hopes to level the playing field so anyone at any skill level can compete, i.e. the Wii way. “The game’s revolutionary FreeMotion(TM) controls help level the playing field for all players and turns FIFA Soccer 08 on Wii into a physical, social activity. It also provides gamers with a truly authentic soccer experience with more control than ever before. It’s easy to pick-up and play and with the in-game Soccer Academy you can learn basic and advanced controls in more than 30 interactive tutorials. Each lesson teaches you how to master the FreeMotion controls and perform all the necessary movements to dominate on the pitch.”
‘FIFA 08’ will be available on all three next generation gaming consoles this fall.
