EA Plans ‘Hasbro Family Game Night’ for Wii, PS2; First Screens

Electronic Arts’ Casual Games Label and Hasbro have announced Hasbro Family Game Night is currently in development for Nintendo Wii and Playstation 2, and will be in stores this fall.

Hasbro Family Game Night is a compilation of five classic board games: Battleship, Yahtzee, Boggle, Connect Four and Sorry!, along with an all-new game, Sorry! Sliders.

Adding a new spin to the classics are new alternative versions like Connect Four Power Chips, Boggle Portal Cubes, Reverse Yahtzee and Battleship Barrage. Details on these new versions are still under wraps.

Hasbro Family Game Night will include a virtual game room, a feature often found in sports games like the NHL 2K series. The room can be customized in appearance and used to store trophies.

Customization is taken a step further with Party Mode, allowing a player to create a party environment by selecting desired games, number of players and a time limit to compete in Match the Pattern, Shake for Words and Bomb Run challenges.

Hasbro Family Game Night will be in stores this fall.
