With Warner Bros. Games releasing a new next-gen version of Mortal Kombat on Xbox 360 and PS3 on April 19, the studio’s home video division saw a perfect opportunity to bring the Mortal Kombat films to Blu-ray Disc.
So on the same day Mortal Kombat the game hits stores, Mortal Kombat and its sequel, Mortal Kombat Annihilation will make their Blu-ray debut. As a special treat, each film will come packed with an exclusive Jade character costume voucher code for use exclusively with the PS3 version of the new game.
Aside from a high-def trailer of the Mortal Kombat game, bonus features are all ported over from the previous DVD editions. Warner is keeping these releases lean and mean to deliver a low $19.99 SRP which should come out to around $15 when Amazon begins taking pre-orders.
