Walt Disney Studios has released the first teaser trailer for The Princess and the Frog, the first 2-D animated feature-length film from the studio since Home on the Range in 2004.
The Princess and the Frog is directed by John Musker and Ron Clements, who directed Treasure Planet, Hercules, Aladdin and The Little Mermaid.
The musical story follows beautiful Princess Tiana, voiced by Anika Noni Rose, who is seeking her perfect prince. Rather than look the old fashioned way she’s decided to pucker up and smooch with various amphibians in hopes one will sprout legs and grow hair.
Disney’s The Princess and the Frog is due in theaters sometime in 2009.
