Captain America B-Roll Footage: Over 9 Minutes Worth

Paramount has released over 9 minutes worth of raw b-roll footage from Captain America: The First Avenger that gives you a fly-on-the-wall look at filming and scene preparation. The footage is broken into two videos, each of which can be viewed below.

Some of the coolest shots in the Captain America b-roll are wide-angle looks at the massive interior and exterior sets, especially those relating to Hydra and their operations. There are scenes you’ll recognize right out of the various TV spots and trailers. Others are all-new such as Red Skull’s sleek wheels parking in a building.

What won’t be found in this Captain America b-roll footage are any major spoilers. There’s nothing embedded in these 9 plus minutes any more revealing about the plot than what’s already aired on television, in clips or in trailers. I’d even say a couple of the television spots dip further into spoiler territory than this b-roll footage does.

Earlier today the first reports started hitting the ‘Net from numerous Captain America: The First Avenger screenings held on Saturday. Those reports confirmed what the post-credits scene would and would not be. Without giving anything away, it should be better than any post-credit footage in a Marvel movie thus far.

Captain America: The First Avenger is directed by Joe Johnston and stars Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell, Hugo Weaving, Sebastian Stan, Samuel L. Jackson, Tommy Lee Jones and Toby Jones. The final pre-Avengers film will arrive in theaters on July 22 in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D.
