Treyarch and Activision’s Call of Duty Black Ops 2 will give hardcore gamers one more reason to ponder picking up a Wii U this holiday season.
The Wii U version of Call of Duty Black Ops 2 will have some additional features not available in the Xbox 360, PS3 or PC versions. As you might expect, Treyarch will take advantage of the second-screen functionality of Wii U’s GamePad and allow a second player to jump in cooperatively and see the game from their perspective on their screen without the main screen for the first player being affected.
In single-player campaign or online adversarial modes, you will be able to view multiplayer maps, call in score streaks and choose loadouts from the GamePad.
Call of Duty Black Ops 2 will support the Wii U GamePad, Wii U Pro controller, Classic Controller Pro, Wii Remote and Nunchuk, or any combination of up to four controllers including one GamePad. You can also switch from the GamePad to one of the other controllers at any time.
Everything else on the other console versions of Call of Duty Black Ops 2 will appear on the Wii U version, including zombies.
Call of Duty Black Ops 2 is a Wii U launch window game. Expect it in stores shortly on or after the November 18, 2012 Wii U console launch.
