Best Buy’s 2011 Black Friday ad is out joining the early release of ads from other big box retails like Walmart, Toys ‘R’ Us, K-Mart and others. I’ve dug through the ad to pick out what I believe are the best home entertainment-related deals that might catch your eye to buy a little over a week from now.
Starting big and working our way down, one of Best Buy’s doorbusters is a 42″ Sharp LDC TV priced at a mere $199.99. This is a great deal for those of you with old tube sets and limited funds who haven’t been able to make the leap to high definition yet.
To play high definition content, another Best Buy doorbuster is offering a Toshiba Blu-ray player with BD-Live for only $39.99. It’s normally priced at $79.99, so that’s a cool $40 savings to gain entry to the wonderful world of Blu-ray. Trust me, holdouts, the upgrade from DVD is worth it – especially for only $40.
One of the biggest Blu-ray sellers on Black Friday at Best Buy will be Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 on Blu-ray. Best Buy will be blowing them out the door at only $9.99. Matt gave this Blu-ray presentation perfect scores across the board, so at $10 bucks a pop consider it a steal.
Numerous other Blu-ray titles will be on sale Black Friday at $4.99. They include, but are not limited to, Inception, Pulp Fiction, The Crow, Office Space, and The Dark Knight.
Gamers will want to take notice of Gears of War 3, Disney Universe, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and X-Men: Destiny priced at only $29.99. In the $34.99 price range are Assassin’s Creed Revelations, Forza Motorsport 4, NBA 2K12, and FIFA Soccer 12.
Nintendo will be introducing two new 3DS bundles timed to debut on Black Friday. They are the Flame Red 3DS with Super Mario 3D Land or Cosmo Black 3DS with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, each priced at $179.99 for Black Friday only (regularly priced $199.99). The Zelda 3DS will have gold Zelda markings etched onto the handheld’s exterior. We’re still awaiting word from Nintendo on whether the Mario bundle will include a Mario-themed 3DS.
Best Buy’s Black Friday 2011 event kicks off on Friday, November 25 at 12am. Tickets for entry will be passed out beginning two hours earlier.
