Bethesda Softworks has announced the next game in their Star Trek Starship series, ‘Star Trek: Conquest,’ will be released simultaneously on Nintendo Wii and Playstation 2 this holiday season.
‘Star Trek: Conquest’ allows players to control ships from one of six race: Federation, Klingon, Romulan, Cardassian, Dominion, or Breen, all during the Next Generation time-frame of the television series. Turn-based strategy will be used to expand empires, while combat will be dealt with in real-time.
Combat is where the Wii’s controllers will make a unique impact in the game. Maneuvering ships is handled by the Nunchuk while firing is handled by the Remote. This new scheme should add a new wrinkle of fun to combat than found in ‘Star Trek: Legacy.’
‘Star Trek: Conquest’ on Wii will carry an MSRP of $29.99.
