Atari has announced the Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and Playstation 2 versions of Alone in the Dark have gone Gold and are cleared for a June 24 release. The delayed Playstation 3 version is tentatively scheduled for release this fall.
Alone in the Dark for Xbox 360 developed by Eden Games and for Wii and PS2 by Hydravision Entertainment, and had been in development for several years. It’s a re-imagining of the classic horror franchise that first launched in 1992.
In the game, players will discover a dark secret lays within Central Park in New York City. It’s been designed like a television serial with twists and turns, and even offers a DVD-like chapter select menu so anyone can skip ahead if they’re stuck.
