Assassin’s Creed Freedom Cry, a DLC side-story that chronicles the rise of Adewale, the former slave, and later quartermaster of the Jackdaw from Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, will soon be available as a stand-alone game exclusive on PS3, PS4 and PC.
Freedom Cry was originally a DLC download that was also part of the Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag’s season pass. The story runs about four hours or more, and features all of the things that make Assassin’s Creed a fan favorite series. There are assassinations, crazy parkour stunts, and of course the continuation of the story of the war between the Assassins and the Templars.
“We decided to release Assassin’s Creed Freedom Cry as a stand-alone game for both fans and newcomers to the Assassin’s Creed universe,” said Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing, Ubisoft, as part of the announcement. “Assassin’s Creed Freedom Cry delivers key elements of an Assassin’s Creed game, including a new hero, new environments and new weapons.”
The stand-alone Assassin’s Creed Freedom Cry game will retail for $14.99 and will be available for download on the PS3 and PS4 on February 15, and PC on February 25.
