Assassin’s Creed 4 Gets an October Release Date and Next-Gen Console Versions

Assassin's Creed 4 Gets an October Release Date and Next-Gen Console VersionsSome Internet sleuthing by the folks over at DarkZero have turned up a graphic on Ubisoft’s official website for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag revealing an October 29, 2013 release date. The graphic has since been removed or hidden, but the damage has already been done.

The graphic also promises a world premiere trailer for the sequel set in the Caribbean during the time of pirates, as well as stating the game is “also coming to next-gen consoles.” Sony’s PS4 announced last week will likely be one of those consoles, as will Nintendo’s Wii U and Microsoft’s next Xbox that has yet to be formally unveiled.

Yesterday Ubisoft promised new Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag details would be revealed Monday. Yet the trailer countdown on the official site reaches zero on Tuesday evening. If both are true then expect new Black Flaggoodies on consecutive days to kick off the new week.
