Until now we’ve been hearing all about how Far Cry Instincts Predator’s visuals are being jazzed up for Xbox 360 but have yet to see the results outside of a few scant screenshots. Today Ubisoft released not one, but two new short demonstration videos that reveal far more enhancements are underway other than improved textures.
The first video is a direct PC-to-Xbox 360 comparison that focuses on the water. The PC water is fairly still and lifeless while the Xbox 360 water reflects light on the peaks of waves as it moves realistically from the depths to the shoreline. The effect looks so good I was waiting for Shamu to jump out.
The second video focuses again on the water, then wraps up with a quick look at the 2 kilometer depth-of-field. These sweeping vistas look plucked right out of Lost.
