‘Transformers: The Last Knight’ and IMAX Announcement Video Tease a Medieval Battle

Transformers: The Last Knight King Arthur

Paramount, Michael Bay and IMAX have teamed up once again to bring the latest and greatest Transformers movie to the big-screen format. In announcing the partnership, a new video teases a centuries-old medieval battle that will somehow involve robots in disguise.

Rumors have been floating around for at least six months that Transformers: The Last Knight will somehow connect to the legend of King Arthur and the sword Excalibur. Considering that the word ‘Knight’ is in the film’s title already creates one connection and the sword use of Autobot leader Optimus Prime against three mechanical dragon heads in the current key art another.

You’ll need to watch the IMAX Partnership video to the final moments to spot behind-the-scenes footage from the upcoming fifth franchise film. It’s hard to imagine Decepticons mixing it up with King Arthur but that’s certainly on the table at this point.

Transformers: The Last Knight stars Mark Wahlberg, Josh Duhamel, Anthony Hopkins, Jerrod Carmichael, Laura Haddock and Isabela Moner. It arrives in theaters on June 23rd, 2017.
