Star Wars: The Force Awakens Empire Covers Call Upon the Dark Side and the Light

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Empire covers

On Thursday, August 27, Empire magazine will release a special winter preview edition with a spotlight on none other than Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens. This issue will undoubtedly provide some new imagery and information from the film along with additional insight from J.J. Abrams, Kathleen Kennedy and others.

It’s hard to pack all the cool key players in the film onto one cover so Empire went ahead and created two. Each of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Empire covers will be sold separately so get them while they’re hot.

The first cover revealed online favors the Dark Side and features Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie) and General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson) standing in front of the docking bay of a New Order Star Destroyer. Ignore the classic Stormtroopers in the foreground as I highly doubt they’re in the film.

Naturally the second cover revealed not so ironically by actor John Boyega features himself as Finn, Daisy Ridley as Rey, and Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron in the desert sands of Jakku. BB-8 is seen slightly in the background along with the Millennium Falcon and a whole bunch of New Order Tie Fighters.
