Week 2 of production and filming of Star Wars: Episode VIII is officially underway as blurted out by writer/director Rian Johnson on Twitter yesterday evening.
Taking a cue from Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams, Johnson made sure his announcement came with a small visual tease of what’s going on. In this instance the tease is a crossword puzzle book sitting atop a lit console, most likely of First Order origins judging by the colors and patterns.
The number of sneak peek into the production of Star Wars: Episode VIII should pick up in the coming weeks, especially with on-location shooting gearing up to take place in Dubrovnik, Croatia, and Benicio Del Toro rumored to partake in those scenes.
For now stare away at this innocent looking console and perhaps study the partially completed crossword puzzles for any clues Rian Johnson may have snuck into the answers. You never know.
