The mystery of what Gal Gadot will look like in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as Wonder Woman is no more after Zack Snyder and Warner Bros. released the first official Gal Gadot Wonder Woman image in conjunction with the WB panel at Comic-Con on Saturday.
In true Snyder fashion his take on Wonder Woman is devoid of color, at least after being wrung through Photoshop for all sorts of smoldering ashes and such as seen in the image below. Wonder Woman clearly is holding a sword and has the Lasso of Truth holstered on her right hip, and has her signature headband and belt.
Wide complaints regarding the Wonder Wonder image are centered on the muted colors that give off a Xena the Warrior Princess vibe and the lack of muscle on Gadot’s body. As is often the case with the first promotional image released of a high profile character, the proof will be in moving images and not a single still. Never forget what happened with the first promotional stills from Bryan Singer’s original X-Men movie that were widely panned and then praised after the film came out.
