‘Cruella’ and Marvel’s ‘Black Widow’ Coming to Disney+ with Premier Access

Disney+ with Premier Access must have been a success for Raya and the Last Dragon as Disney is employing the same day-and-date theatrical and streaming strategy for Cruella and Marvel’s Black Widow.

The live-action Cruella film starring Emma Stone will drop first on May 28th in theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access. The latter will require an extra $29.99 payment on top of Disney+ subscription fees.

Marvel’s Black Widow starring Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh gets the same day-and-date theatrical and streaming treatment on July 9th.

Sandwiched in-between these two releases will be Pixar’s Luca. Like Soul before it, Luca will launch exclusively on Disney+ with no Premier Access required on June 18th. That means anyone with a Disney+ subscription will be able to watch Luca on that day without any additional costs incurred.

Disney also shifted back their theatrical slate in lieu of the above and expansion of COVID-19 vaccines across the country.
