A commercial for two of the upcoming LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens toys has popped up on Ebay less than a week before the big onslaught of Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens toys arrive in stores on Force Friday aka September 4.
The commercial, embedded below directly from YouTube, features Poe Dameron’s (Oscar Isaac) black X-Wing fighter being pursued by Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) in his command shuttle. It brings back memories of the original Star Wars trilogy when Kenner Star Wars toy commercials ran frequently during cartoons.
“You can build the X-Wing and save the droid (BB-8),” the ad boasts. “Load the weapons, climb aboard, open the wings, and blast into action… Watch out, it’s Kylo Ren!”
Listen carefully to the commercial and you will hear BB-8 chirping. Is this how BB-8 will sound in the finished movie? If it’s not exact then I suspect the sounds are pretty close.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens in theaters on December 18. I suspect the commercial will be pulled off YouTube soon so watch it while you can.
