Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Spoilers: Rumored Heist

Downtown Detroit, Michigan has been hopping with activity now that production on Zack Snyder and Warner Brothers’ Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot has moved out onto the streets. There’s destruction, mayhem, vehicular activity, and Bruce Wayne in the middle of it all.

The first images of Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne showed him with his hair looked a bit frazzled and tennis shoes that didn’t match the rest of his business attire. It turns out that’s because Mr. Wayne is involved in some sort of action sequence that you can get a taste of via the YouTube videos below.

A new rumor report first published at Geek Tyrant adds some potential context to the downtown Detroit scenes. The rumor should be taken with an ample dose of salt considering it came from an anonymous source and is in no way corroborated by any other sources within the production. The source does claim to have worked on an extra for 10 days, which is well within the realm of possibility.

According to the scooper, the reason Detroit is being made to look like a war zone is that these scenes take place during or just after the Superman vs General Zod in New York City. Bruce Wayne is in town trying to make his way to Wayne Tower, suggesting that the destruction might be occurring in real time all around him.

This scooper delves deeper into potential spoilers by claiming that Snyder has already filmed some of the final scenes revolving around Wayne/Batman breaking into Lexcorp to steal Kryptonite. Apparently Lexcorp also has the corpse of Zod in its possession, though how that figures into the plot is unknown.

Extras aren’t generally privy to such plot details and spend much of their day waiting around to be told what to do. It might have helped this guy’s credibility had he shared a little more information about how the extras were used.

Here’s the Ben Affleck on the set of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice from the streets of Detroit.
