‘Avengers: Endgame’ Has a Disney+ Release Date

Avengers: Endgame Disney+

When Disney unveiled their upcoming Disney+ streaming service to investors on April 11th, Avengers: Endgame was teased as a film that would eventually appear on the new platform.

Today we learned from Disney CEO Bob Iger via the company’s first quarter investor’s conference call that Avengers: Endgame will be available to stream on Disney+ beginning December 11th of this year.

That puts Avengers: Endgame on the forthcoming platform a day under one month after the service is scheduled to debut on November 12th.

The estimated release time frame for Avengers: Endgame on home video is late July or early August on Digital, and mid-August for physical discs. You can already pre-order a Best Buy exclusive Avengers: Endgame 4K Ultra HD Steelbook.

When Disney+ launches it will have Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian Star Wars series as the main Disney+ originals attraction.

Marvel movies such as Black Panther, Captain Marvel and Iron Man 2 will also be available at launch, but the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe won’t. Disney continues to negotiate with third parties such as Netflix to close out licensing agreements and regain streaming rights to select properties.

Expect all future Disney, Marvel, Pixar and Lucasfilm movies to be streamed exclusively on Disney+. Fox properties could appear on Disney+ but will most likely end up on Hulu as long as Disney retains majority ownership.
