As if the Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens trailer wasn’t enough greatness from a galaxy far, far away, Electronic Arts and DICE continued the SWCA surprises with a brand new Star Wars: Battlefront trailer that is nothing short of amazing.
The two-minute plus trailer is prefaced by a disclaimer from developer DICE that all footage seen is from the in-game engine. This means that EA’s proprietary Frostbite 3 engine is rendering everything you see below in real-time, but nothing that you’re looking at is actual gameplay footage.
The four planets that will appear in the game are Endor, Tatooine, Hoth, and newcomer Sullust. An additional planet, Jakku, will be available as free DLC with all pre-orders. Jakku is the desert-like outer rim planet featured in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and you will participate in the massive battle that leaves a graveyard of downed ships in the drifting sands for the new Star Wars trilogy.

When might we see the first Star Wars: Battlefront gameplay footage? I would expect the next big reveal to come in mid-June at E3 in Los Angeles. By then the game will be less than half a year away from its newly revealed November 17, 2015 release date on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
