The next big player to enter the Toys to Life gaming vertical will be Nintendo when they release the first wave of Amiibo figures this upcoming holiday season. Official Nintendo Amiibo figure prices are still being kept under wraps while the publisher irons out their release plans, but an online retailer may have partially spilled the beans of what we can expect.
UK retailer ShopTo has begun accepting pre-orders for what appears to be the complete first wave of Nintendo Amiibo figures. We already knew what figures Nintendo would be offering to coincide with the launch alongside the debut of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. Price has been a mystery outside of logical speculation.
The pre-order listings include a price: £12.85. For you Americans that’s almost 13 pounds, or roughly in the neighborhood of $21.
Keep in mind that this retailer is probably charging above what Nintendo will set the Amiibo suggested retail price at. With Activision getting $15 for the deluxe Swap Force and Trap Team Skylanders, and Disney Interactive charging nearly $15 for their Disney Infinity figures, I’d put the Nintendo Amiibo figure price range between $15 and $20.
The first wave of Amiibo figures includes Pikachu, Zelda, Link, Donkey Kong, Mario, Peach, Villager, Kirby, Yoshi, Samus, Marth, Wii Fit Trainer, and Kid Icarus.
