After giving D23 members a sneak peek at new Disney Infinity 2.0 figures Meridia and Maleficent a little over a day ago, Disney Interactive has sent along high resolution images of both new figures, a couple screenshots, and a gameplay video that you can watch below.
Here are the official character descriptions for each new Disney Infinity 2.0 figure that also reveals their attacks in the game.
Maleficent
The wicked title character from the upcoming Walt Disney Studios film employs numerous magical powers and can attack using her magic in melee and ranged combat. To defeat enemies, Maleficent has the ability to utilize projectile and area of effect attacks that affect multiple targets within a specified area, brambles that she summons from the ground and ravens that she can call on to attack targets.
Meridia
With her untamed fiery red locks, this headstrong Disney/Pixar Princess will definitely leave her mark in Disney Infinity. Between her sharp sword and bow combo attacks with ricocheting arrows, she can upgrade her aim with elemental freeze arrows, freezing enemies in front of her then following up with rapid shots showing off her impressive athletic skills as an archer and sword fighter.
The reveal of these two characters leave the fate of Stitch still up in the air. The little blue alien appeared briefly in the Disney Infinity 2.0 announcement trailer along with Meridia and Maleficent, but as of yet there’s been no additional indication that he will be a playable character in the game.
