The Swarm is on the loose in the official Gears of War 4 launch trailer for Xbox One. You can watch the new trailer below right now or catch it on primetime TV tonight during Monday Night Football on ESPN.
Set to Metallica’s ‘Nothing Else Matters,’ as performed by Lissie, the trailer offers a new look into the world 25 years after the events of the first three Gears of War games. The Swarm is a threat not to be taken lightly, and Marcus Fenix’s son, JD, will team up with a pair of friends to tackle it head-on.
Having your friend’s back is a big theme in Gears of War 4 and Microsoft is touting cross-platform cooperative play between Xbox One and Windows 10. This is possible as Gears of War 4 is an Xbox Play Anywhere title.
There are some surprises sprinkled into the Gears of War 4 launch trailer including the debut of motorcycles during some sort of chase sequence.
We’ll have to wait until October 11th when Gears of War 4 arrives on Xbox One and PC for all the surprises to be revealed.
