The last of the Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel Super Heroes Walmart leaks has been officially confirmed with yesterday’s announcement that Disney Infinity 2.0 Hiro and Baymax figures are on the way to a Toy Box 2.0 near you.
Hiro and Baymax are the titular stars of Disney Animation’s Big Hero 6 film coming to theaters in November. The boy, Hiro Hamada, is a genius inventor and creator of “Big Hero 6” who uses his mind to control microbots. His brain is truly his most powerful gift and weapon. Baymax is his trusty robot and sidekick who has kung fu fighting moves and a rocket fist that pummels any enemy it connects with.
Disney Interactive has slotted Hiro and Baymax into the Disney Originals line alongside Stitch, Meridia, Donald Duck and others. All of the Disney Originals will play in the Toy Box 2.0, but none are playable in the three Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel Play Sets announced thus far. The irony of Hiro and Baymax falling under the Disney Originals line in a Marvel-themed game is the Big Hero 6 comic is from Marvel Comics.
Disney’s Big Hero 6 film comes to theaters on November 7. The release date for Hiro and Baymax is November 4, a few days before the film hits so they are on store shelves before the film arrives. This is also the same day that all of the other announced Disney Originals figures are expected to arrive, sans Jasmine who is a confirmed 2015 release. Additional Disney Infinity 2.0 Disney Originals figures including at least one female character are yet to be announced.
