In celebration of The Guns of Navarone hitting a 60-year anniversary in 2021, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment are debuting the classic World War II film on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray. The revised release date is November 2nd, 2021.
Gregory Peck, David Niven and Anthony Quinn star in the tale of a team tasked with freeing 2,000 British soldiers from a Nazi stronghold.
Those who pre-order The Guns of Navarone in 4K early will get a limited edition O-Ring featuring the original poster art.
The 4K presentation has been remastered from the original camera negative with HDR. It will feature Dolby Atmos audio, 5.1 audio, and the original theatrical 4-track stereo mix. Additionally, the 4K presentation includes the option to view or skip the original Roadshow Intermission Card.
A new bonus feature, the Main Title Progression Reel, as well as theatrical trailer round out the 4K disc.
The inclusive The Guns of Navarone Blu-ray is new, not carried forward, and sourced from the 4K master. A laundry list of legacy extras are included:
