Deadpool and star Ryan Reynolds are still tearing up the box office having demolished the competition not once, or twice, but three weekends in a row. We already knew Deadpool was coming to Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD in late spring or early summer, and you can now add 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray to the list.
This morning I spotted a Deadpool 4K UHD Blu-ray listing at Amazon.com and shortly thereafter at BestBuy.com. Both online retailers are actively accepting pre-orders, though obviously there’s no release date to share given the film has been at cinemas for less than a month.
Fox Home Entertainment is sticking with their commitment to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and offering 4K versions for all their new theatrical releases. Thus far this includes The Revenant and The Peanuts Movie, and later this year we’ll get heavy hitters like X-Men: Apocalypse and Independence Day: Resurgence.
