Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced release dates for Concussion starring Will Smith on Blu-ray, DVD, Digital HD, and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray. The Concussion 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray version marks Sony’s first day-and-date new theatrical release on the new high-def home video format that joins several catalog titles arriving March 1st.
Concussion will first be available to watch at home or on the go with the Digital HD release on March 15th. Two weeks later will see Concussion arrive on store shelves in physical form as a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and traditional Blu-ray combo pack, Blu-ray, and DVD editions on March 29th.
In Concussion Will Smith stars as Dr. Bennet Omalu, a Nigerian immigrant and forensic neuropathologist who diagnoses a dangerous new brain disease linked to playing football. His findings would rattle the NFL and remain a hot topic today as former NFL players continue to be diagnosed.
The Concussion 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray will present the film in 4K resolution with High Dynamic Range (HDR) and a 7.1 Dolby Atmos soundtrack compatible with 7.1 Dolby TrueHD audio. Bonus features are as follows:
