Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer Set to Drop This Upcoming Monday

A new and probable final Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens trailer is scheduled to debut this upcoming Monday, October 19th according to numerous online sources. If so that means we’ll get to see all-new Star Wars footage less than four days from now.

Director J.J. Abrams planted the seeds for this Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer drop back in July during the San Diego Comic-Con when we announced that the next trailer would arrive “this fall.” That’s obviously a wide window that stretches from late September until early December, but we’re right in the meaty part of the curve right now.

Monday also marks one day past the two month milestone until Star Wars: The Force Awakens arrives in theaters so timeline wise delivering the trailer now makes a lot of sense.

According to i09, we’ll get official confirmation of the trailer’s debut on Sunday morning along with a new one-sheet that will likely include the film’s final logo. After the trailer arrives online, it will debut during ESPN Monday Night Football for its on-air reveal, which is fitting considering ESPN and Lucasfilm are both owned by parent company Disney.

Shortly after the trailer’s ESPN debut is when online ticket sales for opening weekend will begin. Expect midnight showings to sell out and sell out fast.
