As the MLB baseball season approaches the All-Star Break, online retailer Amazon.com has slashed the price of the perennial hardball video game of choice, MLB 13: The Show, for both platforms it is available on.
The deal has reduced the price of MLB 13: The Show with Move and 3DS support on PS3 down to $25.52, a 57% savings over the list price. That particular price is important because it comes in above the $25 threshold for free shipping and thus still qualifies. Have Amazon lowered the price to $24.99 then free shipping would not have been included unless you were a Prime member.
The PS Vita version of MLB 13: The Show has been dropped to $19.99, a 50% savings over list. The PS Vita version is compatible with the PS3 version and vice-versa, so it is possible to scoop up both versions for less than the PS3 version cost by itself when it was released earlier this year.
It is unclear how long Amazon will be running their sale on MLB 13: The Show for PS3 and PS Vita, but I would suspect it will be over by no later than this upcoming weekend. Interest in the sale has already been huge with the PS3 version jumping to the seventh position on Amazon’s video games bestsellers chart.
