Top Gun Celebrating 25th Anniversary With Blu-ray Double-Dip

Top Gun starring Tom Cruise is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year which proved incentive enough for Paramount to release a second Blu-ray edition on May 10.

Top Gun was originally released on Blu-ray in July, 2008 after making its high definition home video debut in October 2007 in the now deceased HD DVD format. The 25th anniversary Blu-ray marks its third high definition flyover in four years.

Unlike the previous Top Gun releases, this new one will be a combo pack with DVD and include a digital copy. Tech specs on the Blu-ray include 1080p video and a choice between 6.1 DTS-HD Master Audio and 5.1 Dolby TrueHD audio.
