Disney wasn’t quite satisfied with a 30-second Super Bowl commercial for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides so they doubled-down on the Johnny Depp sequel when publishing the spot on YouTube.
Below you can watch the extended Super Bowl commercial for Pirates of the Caribbean 4. With it comes Jack Sparrow wit, Jack Sparrow tomfoolery, mermaids, zombies, and a not very nice Blackbeard.
Multiple cast and crew from the film have gone on record saying the plot is simplified from the previous two over complex tales. That motto of “less is more” is already evident in the few minutes Disney has shared this evening.
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides sets sail in 2D, 3D and IMAX on May 20.
