Today Yahoo! Movies debuted the first two images from Columbia Pictures’ The Green Hornet, followed shortly thereafter by Entertainment Tonight teasing the first trailer which is set to debut later this evening on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Columbia has kept The Green Hornet starring a slimmed down Seth Rogen, Jay Chou, Christoph Waltz and Cameron Diaz under wraps while rumors of a lackluster product ran rampant after the film was pushed out of a pre-Christmas opening to a less prestigous January 14, 2011 release date. The trailer snippets that jump between action and goofball comedy confirm The Green Hornet will be a tough sell outside the hardcore fan circles.
I’m most interested in the trailer offering more of Jay Chou as Kato and Christoph Waltz as the villain. Hopefully Waltz gets to speak a line in it unlike the ET sneak peek.
