Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare Story Trailer Revealed

We’re six weeks out from taking the fight to the far future in Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, but today Activision released the first story trailer for the highly-anticipated shooter. We got to play some of Infinite Warfare’s multiplayer maps at COD XP 2016, and we came away impressed (full story on that coming soon), but this is the first time that the echoes of the game’s science-fiction-themed story have been revealed.

It was already revealed that Kit Harington (Game of Thrones, Silent Hill: Revelation) plays the game’s main antagonist, Salen Kotch (even his name sounds diabolical), and UFC star Conor McGregor has a mo-capped role as Captain Bradley Fillion, both of the rogue SDF (Settlement Defense Front), and that the story leaves earth’s orbit for the first time, as interplanetary mining disputes are a key plot point, but now, the new Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare trailer fills in some holes and answers some questions.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is the closest mix of military shooter and Star Wars that Activision and their teams of Call of Duty developers have ever tried. And this comes after each studio has taken the fight into the future with new tech and abilities. I mean, there are aerial dogfights in Infinite Warfare that are not on rails, like in previous Call of Duty games. Also, the space dogfighting is the basis of the Jackal VR Missions being released for the PS VR accessory. On other words, there is so much different here that Infinite Warfare could go down as the biggest game changer in Call of Duty history — even bigger than when the series went from World War II to Modern Warfare.
