Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 Goes Historic

EA Sports is mixing up the Tiger Woods golf game franchise with the Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14: The Masters Historic Edition. To live up to the “historic” title, they have implemented the Augusta National course as it was laid out in 1934 for the Inaugural Augusta National Invitation Tournament, otherwise known as the very first Masters Tournament.

To fulfill stepping back in time, EA has ensured that the complete experience will be truly authentic to the time period. Not only will players be playing on the course as it was originally designed in 1931 by course architect Dr. Alister MacKenzie and golfer Bobby Jones, but the clothes and clubs will also be historically accurate.

EA has to extensively research not only the visuals of the course, but how it played as well. As a result, the original green contours and speeds have been built into the game.

The only way to get the Augusta National original 1934 course is with the Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14: The Masters Historic Edition, available for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on . This edition also includes the following:

A complete copy of Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 14

  • A walk through of the original 1934 layout of Augusta National
  • The present-day Augusta National Golf Club course
  • Augusta National’s world-class Tournament Practice Facility
  • Augusta National’s Par 3 course
  • Green Jacket ceremony
  • Augusta, the Song, as heard during the Masters Tournament television broadcast
