Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge Wii U Picks Up Ayane, Screens and More

Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge Wii U Picks Up Ayane, Screens and MoreRyu Hayabusa will be making his way to the Nintendo Wii U in Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge, a Wii U launch title expected to hit stores alongside the new console in November. Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge is the latest game in the storied Ninja Gaiden franchise, and the first for a Nintendo console since the Ninja Gaiden trilogy for the Super Nintendo.

Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge will feature many Wii U exclusive features, including a new playable character, Ayane, who will have her own chapters in the solo campaign, as well as be available for multiplayer. Ayane will also have her own set of weapons, skills, and Ninpo spells.

New modes include Chapter Challenge, which allows players to re-play any chapter using either Ryu or Ayane. Razor’s Edge also features online co-op for story mode, using both Ryu and Ayane, and will also feature online multiplayer for up to eight players.

Also, exclusive for the Wii U are new weapon sets and Ninpo spells for Ryu Hayabusa.

I played an entire level of Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge at this summer’s E3 and the game runs fast and smooth. Wii U’s Gamepad, while taking some getting used to, works like a charm for Ninpo spells, weapon selection, and the execution of certain combos.

Enjoy some new Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge screenshots, character renders, a trailer, and the final box art that were all released today to coincide with Nintendo’s Wii U event in NYC.
